Our Philosophy

Since 2013, we’ve been helping everyday people
experience extraordinary moments…

ScienceTraining was created with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between research laboratories, where knowledge is generated, and daily training, where that knowledge must be applied.

Not just for professional athletes—but also for people with jobs, families, limited time, different starting points, and personal goals.

About Us

ScienceTraining is a coaching support team for endurance sports. We coach runners, cyclists, and triathletes of all levels: from those taking their first organized steps to experienced athletes seeking to improve their performance.

Our job isn’t to fill a calendar with workouts. It’s to create a clear and manageable path from where the athlete is now to the goal they want to achieve.

Our Vision

High-level coaching expertise should be accessible to every athlete.

Anyone who invests time, effort, and passion in a athletic goal deserves guidance based on up-to-date knowledge, honest evaluation, and true personalization.

Our Mission

Our mission is fulfilled every time a person develops consistency, trusts their body, gains a deeper understanding of their training, and turns a goal that once seemed distant into a real-life experience.

Our Values

Six principles that guide every decision we make.

  1. 01

    Knowledge with Responsibility

Science is not used as a marketing gimmick. It is used to limit arbitrary decisions and improve the way training is designed and interpreted.

  2. 02

    Personalization with Substance

We don’t just change the names and paces in a pre-made program. We design based on the athlete’s overall profile.

  3. 03

    Honesty

We don’t promise easy solutions or quick results. We explain what is realistic, what takes time, and what needs to change.

  4. 04

    Communication

A coach isn’t just someone who writes the training plan. We listen, explain, observe, guide, and we are there when things don’t go as planned.

  5. 05

    Respect

We respect the health, effort, time, commitments, and personality of every athlete.

  6. 06

    Fair Play

Performance takes on real value when it is accompanied by sportsmanship, respect for fellow athletes, and fair competition.

Knowledge gains value when it can be applied

My professional and personal journey unfolds simultaneously across four different spheres: the research lab, the university, daily coaching practice, and endurance competitions.

These roles do not operate independently. Research helps me critically examine knowledge. Teaching compels me to understand it in depth. Coaching confronts me daily with the complexity of real people. And my experience in sports reminds me that no training session takes place under ideal laboratory conditions.

Academic Background

  • Undergraduate studies in Physical Education and Sports Science
  • Graduate studies in maximizing athletic performance
  • Doctoral studies in Exercise Physiology
  • Research on physiology and endurance training
  • Authoring and publishing scientific studies
  • Participation in and presentations at scientific conferences
  • Teaching Physiology and Exercise Physiology at the university level

“An academic background is not just a title that precedes one’s name. It is the way in which I learn to question, examine, evaluate, and avoid easy certainties.”

The Research Approach

Scientific studies of training show that the same training session does not necessarily elicit the same response in everyone. Duration, intensity, recovery, total volume, the athlete’s level, and the timing within the training program can significantly alter the outcome.

That is why a coach’s job is not to copy a popular method. It is to assess who they are working with, determine what adjustments are needed, and figure out how that specific training session will fit into the overall plan.

Athletic Career

My personal athletic activities include participating in and completing half-marathons, marathons, endurance cycling races, IRONMAN 70.3, IRONMAN 140.6, Patagonman, ICON Extreme Triathlon, and other running and triathlon events.

Participating in a race does not automatically make someone a better coach. However, it does help them gain firsthand insight into things that aren’t fully captured in a data file: the pressure of training, self-doubt, the fear of failure, and the significance that crossing the finish line can have for a person.

What does all this mean for the athlete

  • Better interpretation of ergometric and training data
  • More specific selection of training stimuli
  • Understanding of the physiological mechanisms behind each session
  • Adjustment when the response is not as expected
  • Avoiding the blind application of training trends
  • Realistic planning based on daily life
